Notel Platform and Application

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Notel application, website, or related services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and any related policies published by Notel.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the platform immediately.

2. Service Description

Notel is a technology-based digital platform designed to enable secure management, access, interaction, annotation, and note-taking on supported digital content and files.

The platform allows users to:

• View supported files and documents
• Write annotations and notes directly on supported files such as PDFs
• Access content shared by content providers under controlled permissions

Content on Notel is primarily delivered in file-based formats (such as PDFs and documents) and does not include video or multimedia content unless explicitly stated.

Notel allows content providers to share materials with authorized users under defined permissions and technical protections.

Notel:

• Is not an educational institution
• Does not create content
• Does not own uploaded or shared content
• Does not review, verify, or monitor content prior to publication
• Is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of content provided by content providers

3. User Accounts and Responsibility

• Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating an account
• Users are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their login credentials
• Account sharing is strictly prohibited
• Users are responsible for all activities conducted through their accounts
• Users must immediately notify Notel of any unauthorized access or suspected security breach

4. Content Usage

Users may access content strictly within the permissions granted by the respective content provider.

Notel may allow users to interact with content through annotation and note-taking tools; however, such interactions do not grant ownership or intellectual property rights to the original content.

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Downloading content unless explicitly permitted
• Copying, reproducing, extracting, or redistributing content
• Attempting to capture, record, or distribute content by any means
• Printing content unless expressly authorized
• Sharing content with unauthorized third parties
• Circumventing technical protection or access control measures

Any violation may constitute infringement of intellectual property rights and may result in account suspension, termination, or legal action.

5. Intellectual Property

• All intellectual property rights related to the content remain the exclusive property of the respective content provider or lawful owner
• Notel does not grant ownership, licensing, or commercial rights beyond limited authorized access to the platform
• Notel acts solely as a technology intermediary facilitating secure content delivery
• Notel bears no responsibility for disputes relating to ownership, copyright, or legality of content

6. Content Providers

Content providers represent and warrant that:

• They possess the legal rights and authority to upload, publish, or distribute the content
• The content does not violate applicable laws, regulations, or intellectual property rights
• They assume full legal responsibility for the content they provide through the platform

7. Subscriptions and Payments

• Subscriptions on Notel are intended solely for access to platform features, infrastructure, and services, and are not linked to ownership of or entitlement to any specific content
• Certain features, including uploading and publishing content, require an active subscription
• Content available on the platform is independently provided by content providers without direct compensation from Notel
• Subscription fees are not allocated to or dependent on any specific content or content provider
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by Notel’s applicable Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy
• In-app payments may be processed and managed by Apple, Google, or other applicable third-party payment providers
• Certain billing, payment processing, subscription management, and refund procedures may additionally be subject to the policies and procedures of the applicable third-party payment provider

8. Limitation of Liability

• Notel makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, legality, quality, availability, or suitability of content
• Notel does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the platform
• Notel shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the platform or content
• Notel shall not be responsible for changes, removal, suspension, or unavailability of content provided by content providers
• Use of the platform is entirely at the user’s own risk

9. Misuse and Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

• Circumventing security systems or access controls
• Attempting to hack, disrupt, damage, overload, or compromise the platform
• Using unauthorized software, scripts, automation tools, or extraction methods
• Engaging in unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activities
• Violating applicable laws or regulations while using the platform

Notel reserves the right to take immediate action, including restricting or terminating access, without prior notice.

10. Account Suspension or Termination

Notel reserves the right to:

• Suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms & Conditions or applicable laws
• Remove or restrict access to any content or feature
• Cooperate with legal or regulatory authorities where required

No refunds shall be issued in such cases, except where required by applicable law.

11. Privacy

Use of the platform is also subject to Notel’s Privacy Policy.

12. Amendments

Notel reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Continued use of the platform after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Qatar.
